March 8 was International Women's Day. In celebration, LSKD's Women's Initiative partnered with the Susan G. Komen organization to help women re-entering the workforce after treatment.

March 8 was International Women’s Day. In celebration, LSKD’s Women’s Initiative partnered with the Susan G. Komen organization to help women re-entering the workforce after treatment.

We collected new items such as stationary, notebooks, calendars, pens, portfolios and other supplies. We also collected monetary donations that we used to purchase additional items. The photos show some of the many beautiful things we will be sending. Altogether we will donate over 100 items to women who have gone through treatment for breast cancer and are now re-entering the workplace.

In addition, LSKD celebrated the women in their lives with a sweet treat in the afternoon!  Thanks to everyone who donated!
