Health and Disability Practice
Defending ‘benefit dispute’ matters requires a highly specialized knowledge of both ERISA and state insurance law. Our expertise and experience enables us to stay on top of developing precedents and to consistently obtain favorable results for our clients. The Life, Health, Accident & Disability Practice Group specializes in defending claims for benefits on behalf of insurers, employers and third-party administrators in both ERISA and non-ERISA plans. The Group is headed by Steven Getzoff. Mr. Getzoff is a Vice-Chair of the Health and Disability Insurance Law Committee of the American Bar Association. He has published extensively on issues related to benefits claims in the New York Law Journal as well as various ABA and Defense Research Institute publications.
