4/6/2005 Thompson v. Macy's Attorneys: Harry Steinberg Kudos to Harry Steinberg for his fine motion work on the matter of Thompson v. Macy's, S/Queens (McDonagh Unit). Harry drafted an Affirmation in Opposition to Plaintiff's motion seeking to amend their Bill of Particulars at the eleventh hour to reflect additional, significant lower back injuries and fusion surgeries to what had previously been a "shoulder" case. Harry's opposing affirmation unleashed a torrent of relevant and convincing case law that ultimately assisted Judge LeVine in reaching a correct decision, denying the plaintiff's sought-after amendments. If granted, the amendments would have easily multiplied by several-fold the case's value. |
