Harry Steinberg has been selected to be a panelist on the New York County Lawyers' Association program "Roadblocks, Pitfalls and Ethical Considerations in State Appellate Practice." He will be among the panelist addressing roadblocks and pitfalls in the appellate process including issues such as timeliness, the need for an appealable paper, the need for an aggrieved party, the need for a substantial issue, preservation/waiver, mootness and the rights of a non-appealing party, among other issues. Also on the panel, scheduled for May 13, 2008, is Associate Judge Eugene F. Pigott, Jr., of New York's Court of Appeals, the state's highest court.
